Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are specially trained congregation members that provide one-to-one Christian care to people who are experiencing a life challenge or crisis. This training involves general topics like listening skills, feelings, assertiveness, boundaries, and specialized topics like praying together and using other Christian resources in minstering to someone experiencing grief, a terminal illness, and more.
Once trained, our pastors and Stephen leaders pair up each minister with a member of the congregation or community who needs care. These relationships are kept confidential, and those paired have weekly contact for an appropriate time period.
