Metropolitan Baptist seeks to care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of members and friends in a variety of ways. Some of these ways include:
- Special prayer times, led by church elders for ill persons who request it.
- Meals in the home and other asistance during illnesses.
- Meals provided after funerals for member extended families.
- Personal visits and care for those hospitalized, in retirement centers or nursing homes, and home-bound. Serving the communion elements on request.
- Short-term, spiritual counseling for those seeking help.
- Small group/support group ministry for life crises.
- Outreach to widows/widowers
- Benevolence ministry to members and friends.
